Established in 1980 as the premier small ensemble of the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus, The Lollipop Guild is the oldest small ensemble in the GALA Choruses network. It began as a barbershop quartet and grew to as many as 10 singers by the early 2000s, broadening its music along the way.

Under Music Director Paul Saccone, who first led the group in the early 2000s for a decade and returned after a brief hiatus, the ensemble moved beyond its barbershop and a cappella roots into show choir, musical theater and comedy.

Today, The Lollipop Guild features 24–28 singers and continues to delight audiences with well-known songs, dynamic performances and humorous twists.
