On Tuesday, August 25, more than 150 SFGMC friends and community members gathered at The Chan National Queer Arts Center for an evening of music, connection, and what’s next.
We were thrilled to introduce Lane Sugata as SFGMC’s new CEO. With Lane at the helm, we’re looking ahead to a future of deeper community connections, stronger community partnerships, and continuing to foster a more supportive and connected LGBTQ+ community.
We also introduced HarmonIQ, SFGMC’s newest ensemble, and gave guests a first look at Season 49: RISING.
Relive the night through photos and video from our Season 49 Reveal and CEO Meet & Greet.

Looking Ahead to Season 49: RISING
The season unveiled at the gathering brings a 2026–27 program of concerts and community events. Holiday Spectacular returns to the Golden Gate Theatre, UC Berkeley, and Sonoma State, with Christmas Eve’s Home for the Holidays bringing SFGMC back to the Castro Theatre for the first time since 2023.
The mainstage lineup continues with One-Hit Wonders at the Curran Theatre on March 20, 2027, followed by the Pride concert DIVAS! on June 12. At The Chan, the season includes Make Them Hear You, a Broadway cabaret on October 17, 2026; a holiday sing-along; Queer Lunar New Year with GAPA; and Britpop and Divas sing-alongs.
Lane Sugata’s first season as CEO connects these programs with the Chorus’s approaching 50th anniversary and its commitment to community, expression, and resilience.
